FAT TUESDAY Fat-Bike Rides Get an introduction to riding fat-bikes in snow and sand! Let Cory take you to the lakefront for a snow and beach ride! Experience a whole new type of biking! Ride SAFELY in the snow & on the beach and go bloOp-blOop-bloOp over the bumps! These bikes are so fun & amazing, you've got to try one!
If you own a fat-bike, join us on the ride for free! If you don't, rent and ride with us for just $25 bucks! Rental reservations are a must, as we only have 5 bikes available. Lights and helmet are also mandatory and included! All you have to do is dress warm and show up sober! Weather Warnings: We will cancel the ride if the temperature drops below 18 or if winds are above 15 mph! But if it's snowing, we ride!

AT GREAT LAKES DISTILLERY - 616 W. VIRGINIA ST. - MILWAUKEE WI Metal Pedal is an annual event hosted by Great Lakes Distillery bringing the cycling community and local businesses together to raise money for the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin. It's an indoor stationary bike race! (Bikes are provided) Racers (two at a time) race 300m (approx. 16-19 seconds). The front fork is bolted to a platform while the back wheel sits on rollers. The rollers have no resistance, and racers must pedal as fast as possible. Only the audience can see the times during the race. The event is free and open to members of the public age 21 and over, and all skill levels are encouraged to participate or attend. Pedal out that cabin fever in twenty hardcore seconds then celebrate your victory with a drink! We are extra involved with Metal Pedal this year, as Cory has put up the grand prize of a brand new bike! And our design guy James put together the most brutal poster!

Now is the time to sign up for our "Tune Your Own Bicycle" class! This is a 3-hour, one night seminar designed to empower you to maintain your bicycle on a regular basis. You'll be provided with a 25 page book written by Cory, three hours of personalized instruction, with only one other student and and a $20 spending spree for lubes, tools, degreasers. Class fee is Just $89.99, and you'll walk away with a $60 tune-up and a head full of invaluable bike-fixing know-how.Bicycle Repair Classes! Only taught through Feb. 15, 2012! The Elements can do an number on your bike very quickly. So stop in for a Winterizing tune-up to protect your bike and prevent big Winter expenses! In addition to a regular tune-up we will grease and oil all of your cables. We will also apply synthetic oil to the chain and all pivot points in your derailleurs, brakes and axle nuts to add a barrier between your precious metals and the shameful salty street water. We'll grease your seatpost and lube your spoke nipples to avoid seizures; Sounds kinky, but it really works! We'll also take the time to tell you what you can do throughout Winter to keep your bike working well until spring!
